Au Pair 2 Weekend Certificate Program
2 Weekend Certificate- This program is designed so that au pairs can gain further knowledge in one focus area over 2 weekends. The program is not a certification for any professional field.
The students are required to take each core class listed over two weekends. A total of 14 classes (core classes and elective classes) must be completed to successfully earn the certificate. The Au Pair Weekend Certificates are not a part of a professional certification.

Homework and Volunteer Hours Guidelines
Au Pairs registering for the 2 weekend certificate program are required to perform volunteer hours to complete the outside homework requirement. Au pairs must execute 10 volunteer hours by the conclusion of the second weekend. Prior approval of the facility or organization is required. A list of approved facilities and organizations is listed below for each focus area. A community serve verification form must be completed and signed by the local au pair agency coordinator/counselor. If an au pair would like to consider volunteering with other organizations, prior approval by the program coordinator is required.
Hospitality and Tourism – Au Pairs can volunteer at city tourism offices, local entertainment centers and trade organizations.
Childcare- Au Pairs can volunteer at schools, childcare centers, community based organizations and aftercare programs.
Activities Coordinator/Consultant- Senior Centers, aftercare programs, Boys and Girl Clubs, and entertainment organizations.
Patient Care- Au Pairs can volunteer at community based organizations, American Red Cross, senior centers, and hospitals.
In addition to the volunteer hours the au pair must complete two 5 page papers. The papers must be typed, no larger than size 12 font and single spaced using Times New Roman front. Please use Microsoft Word as the word processing software. The first paper is due 7 days prior to the first weekend. The second paper and the volunteer hour verification form are due 7 days prior to the second weekend.
The first 5 page paper is about your life.

The second 5 page paper is about the focus area and your volunteer experience.

On time Registration $585 (If you register between 59 days and 21 days prior to the first day of the first weekend)
Late registration $615 (If you register 20 days or less prior to the first day of the first weekend)
